I first found the 1:1 Diet back in 2015 when it was known as the Cambridge Weight Plan. I was
21 stone and the heaviest I had ever been. I had previously tried all the other diets and failed miserably so Cambridge Weight Plan was my last resort!! I started the plan and followed the UK sole source and Step 2 for 8 months eventually losing an amazing 9 stone!
I was so inspired by my journey that I went on to become a consultant. Unfortunately before I started to get really going as a Consultant, life got in the way and due to various family issues and ill health surrounding my daughter and a very difficult divorce I had to move away and set up home in a new town. Before I knew it the weight was creeping back up. Under the stress I had gone back to my old eating habits and my clothes started getting snug.
I met someone I had known for 25 years who swept me off my feet. We took early retirement and moved to Spain in 2018 getting married in Gibraltar in 2019. It was a beautiful happy day ……….. until I saw my wedding photos. I could not believe how much weight I had actually put back on. I sat and cried and knew I had to do something about my weight.
I used the internet to find out if Cambridge Weight Plan was in Spain! I found my local Consultant Sue Smith on the site and messaged her to arrange a remote consultation by phone. I started back on plan in June 2020 and before long the weight began to drop off. Sue was amazing and despite being in the throws off lockdown, the support she gave me during my journey, even though we couldn’t meet for proper consultations, was inspirational. To maintain social distancing Sue dropped my products off at the gate and we Face Timed regularly and did virtual Weigh-Ins’.
Sue and I have become good friends and she encouraged me to take the step to re train and become a consultant in Spain. I passed my accreditation in July whilst on plan myself and have never looked back. I have now lost 4stone 12lb and look and feel fabulous, and now know the triggers that drive me to overeat. I am now stabilising at my new weight and increasing the steps on the plan to enable me to maintain the new me.
The 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan is not just a diet, it’s a life plan which works!! In these difficult times when COVID-19 is changing all our lives it is so important for people to take a look at their lifestyles and think about getting excess weight off and getting healthier which is what I have been encouraging my clients to do.
Being a Consultant and helping others to do the same as me is just so satisfying. When I see a new client for the first time I see in their faces how unhappy they are, no smiles and shoulders down but during their journey, and when they reach target, it’s smiles galore standing tall and it also spurs me on my journey and keeps me on Plan.
As I keep saying The 1:1 diet by Cambridge Weight Plan has changed my life my only regret is that I didn’t start it sooner. I hadn’t realised how much I missed out on by being overweight and I didn’t appreciate the effects my weight had on your whole family. When I look back at family photos I’m not in any of them as I hated having my photo taken. If f I’m honest I hated myself and that is so sad. Now as a consultant myself, if I can help people see that their life can be so much happier and healthier they lose weight. For me, The 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan isn’t just a diet it’s a new way of life.
